Is it possible to combine technologies and innovative ideas to fight the coronavirus crisis?

Our answer is – definitely yes. 

Adithana Marketing is the communications partner to the initiative Hack the Crisis Bulgaria, a 48-hours long online hackathon organized by the entrepreneurial network Power of BG. The digital competition aims to gather people with business, IT, and social backgrounds from across the country who want to work on innovative ideas to solve the coronavirus crisis in Bulgaria and its consequences. 

The hackathon starts on Friday, 27th of March, at 18:00 EET, and will be held online through the messaging platform Slack and the audio and video conferencing tool Zoom. Registrations are open, and the participants can submit ideas for solutions in three areas: 

• Saving lives
• Saving communities
• Saving businesses

The winning teams will be announced on Sunday, 29th of March. They will have the unique opportunity to work with some of the most successful and innovative entrepreneurs in the country and bring their prototypes to the next level. The winners will also receive an award of 15 000 BGN to help their ideas grow and create sustainable impact. 

“In Bulgaria, we have seen many examples of entrepreneurs who decided to support the society and made unconditional donations to hospitals and people in need. Our goal is to go one step further and find innovative solutions to the financial and social crisis that is yet to come,” explains Todor Gigilev, the founder of Power of BG and CEO of Dreamix.

One of the great things happening during times of crisis is that people unite. Coronavirus culture is emerging around the whole world, spontaneously and creatively, to combat the fear, isolation, and restrictions that society is facing. We should all realize that we can only win if we fight together.
